KNB Scholarship Deadline 2027: Dates and Timeline

The 2026 cycle is closed. 2027 dates are not posted.

Registration for the last published cycle ran 2 February 2026 – 31 March 2026. Results were announced on 19 June 2026. That window is over. The first list named 200 awardees, and the Ministry filled later withdrawals from the shortlist in three replacement batches, the last on 16 September 2026. The 2026 schedule set arrival for 24–31 August and BIPA from September 2026.

KNB normally runs an annual selection, but not always: the Ministry held no new-student selection in 2022. The last open window sat in February–March, so the 2027 call is expected around February–March 2027 based on the 2026 cycle. That is a pattern, not a promise. As of 6 October 2026 the official portal still shows the 2026 schedule, and the Ministry has not published 2027 opening or closing dates. This guide will not invent a 31 March 2027 deadline. What to prepare while you wait

Embassy verification is the slowest step for most applicants. Use the closed season to identify your nearest Embassy or Consulate General on kemlu.go.id/perwakilan, legalize certificates and transcripts with your education ministry and foreign ministry, sit an English test if you need one, and — if you are a doctoral applicant — write to a potential supervisor at a listed host. Medical reports in the 2026 rules had to be issued within the last three months, so do not pay for a new panel until the 2027 call is live.

Passport timing matters. You cannot apply while a renewal is in process, and the last cycle required validity at least through 31 December 2027 (and, in the FAQ, at least two years remaining). If your passport expires soon, renew it before the portal opens.
