Deadlines and the next window

Today is 21 September 2026. Registration for the last published cycle ran 2 February 2026 – 31 March 2026. Results were announced on 19 June 2026. That window is over. Successful 2026 awardees were already in the arrival and BIPA phase (arrival 24–31 August; BIPA from September 2026).

KNB is an annual scholarship. The last open window sat in February–March. That is a pattern, not a promise. The Ministry has not published official 2027 opening or closing dates. Embassy verification is the slowest step for most applicants. Use the closed season to identify your nearest Embassy or Consulate General on kemlu.go.id/perwakilan, legalize certificates and transcripts with your education ministry and foreign ministry, sit an English test if you need one, and — if you are a doctoral applicant — write to a potential supervisor at a listed host. Medical reports in the 2026 rules had to be issued within the last three months, so do not pay for a new panel until the next call is live.

Passport timing matters. You cannot apply while a renewal is in process, and the last cycle required validity at least through 31 December 2027 (and, in the FAQ, at least two years remaining). If your book expires soon, renew it before the portal opens.
