What the programme is
NAWA’s page: encourage talented people from the listed countries to study at Polish university-type HEIs. Scholarship during the statutory period of full-time second-cycle studies at academic HEIs (public and non-public) supervised by the Minister of Science and Higher Education that have a NAWA framework agreement. Tuition exemption at public universities. Applicants choose university and field themselves. NAWA does not act as an intermediary in admission. No call for fields at HEIs supervised by other ministries. Contact: [email protected].

Citizens of: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States of America, Uruguay. 2026/27 money and scoring
Monthly PLN 2,000 for up to 12 months (5 winter / 7 summer). One-off travel with the first month: Lithuania PLN 1,000; nearby Europe PLN 1,500; western/southern Europe plus the UK PLN 2,000; Cyprus, Spain, Iceland, Israel, Portugal PLN 3,000; long-haul list PLN 6,500. Full table: funding.
Merit: GPA 0–50 on converted Polish bands (≤3.54 = 0; 3.55–3.94 = 25; 3.95–4.54 = 30; 4.55–4.74 = 40; ≥4.75 = 50). Motivation and documented achievements 0–50. Pass: 60 total and at least 25 in each criterion. Zero on GPA ended the review. Panel could interview selected applicants. Awards went to the highest scores. Results by 31 July 2026. NAWA later reported 42 applications from 21 countries/territories; 31 passed formal assessment. Hosts named in the results news included Jagiellonian University, University of Warsaw, Kozminski University, and SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
