NAWA publishes an agreement in the ICT system. The host pays the stipend. A Polish visa or residence card is handled by a different office. Everything below comes from the 2026/27 announcements; visa steps sit on study.gov.pl, not in the NAWA PDF.
What the 2026 PDFs required after funding
Agreement
Banach: conclude it within 45 days of its availability in the ICT system. PMFC: 30 days. Missing the window can forfeit the award — the announcements treat it as an obligation, not a suggestion.
Payment route
Through the preparatory-course unit or the university where you study. The travel lump sum rides with the first monthly payment.
Reports
An annual report after each academic year, no later than 31 October. Banach: the first report comes after the preparatory course, or after year one if you skipped the course. PMFC: the first report comes after year one; summer-semester starters file a semester report first.

Accepting the scholarship includes agreeing that your contact data may be shared with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Banach Polish path with preparatory course
For the 2026 cohort, you sit the 2027/28 university admission while on the one-year course. NAWA assigns the centre by field and places.
Banach English path
A Polish language and culture course in September/October 2026, on-site or online. The first stipend came from September 2026 if the course was on-site.
Visa is not in the scholarship PDF
NAWA does not issue visas. Use study.gov.pl and the Polish consulate that covers your residence. The typical student path is a national (type D) visa, then a temporary residence permit after arrival — confirm current rules on official pages.
Legalisation or an apostille of diplomas can be required at admission; NAWA points to its recognition pages.
Do not pay a third party who claims they can "process NAWA visas."
