MEXT Deadline & Timeline
The 12–18 Month Process

Official cycle: MEXT Scholarship for 2027 Embassy Recommendation (FY2027 guidelines published). Recruitment for April or September–October 2027 arrival is April–May of the previous year. First screening is May–July. Deadlines vary by embassy — there is no single global date.
