Coverage

What official materials name — without inventing amounts

The 2023 SINGA brochure says successful applicants receive the following support for up to four years: full coverage of tuition fees, a monthly stipend, a one-time airfare grant, and a one-time settling-in allowance. It does not print the stipend figure on that brochure page. This handbook will not fill the gap from a third-party site.

Tuition

Named as fully covered for up to four years in the 2023 brochure. Confirm the current wording.

Monthly stipend

Named, amount not quoted here. Confirm the live figure on A*STAR or your award letter.

Airfare grant

Named as one-time in the 2023 brochure. Confirm whether it is still offered and at what cap.

Settling-in allowance

Named as one-time in the 2023 brochure. Confirm the current amount on A*STAR.

Do not mix in the AGS table

The live AGS page publishes monthly allowances by citizenship and track. Those numbers are for AGS. They are not SINGA. A*STAR's general scholarships FAQ also says scholars receive a competitive monthly allowance besides full tuition and points you to each award's coverage section. SINGA's dedicated coverage section was not live on 22 September 2026.

An official A*STAR Research alumni interview mentions conference support as part of that scholar's SINGA experience. That is one account, not a published rate card. Confirm conference rules on the current official page or award letter.

Costs that are not the stipend

ICA Student's Pass. The official IHL page lists a non-refundable S$45 processing fee. That is ICA, not A*STAR stipend policy.

Housing. Host universities manage rooms. SINGA materials fetched here do not publish a rent figure.

Family. Official pages fetched for this handbook do not describe SINGA family allowances. Do not assume a partner is funded.

Lab consumables. AGS FAQ says A*STAR does not pay consumables or research fees for that award. Do not copy that sentence onto SINGA unless A*STAR says it.
