Pearson Scholarship 2027 Deadlines: Every Date From July to April
Three hard deadlines fall within four weeks this autumn: 9 October, 16 October and 6 November 2026. Decision dates are not yet published for this cycle, but the last one gives a strong guide.

The Pearson calendar runs months ahead of U of T’s normal admissions cycle. Regular international applicants have until 15 January 2027; Pearson candidates must apply by 16 October 2026. Every date below was checked against U of T’s Pearson page on 6 October 2026.

Why October is so tight
The gap between nomination and the U of T application is one week. The gap to the Pearson application is four weeks. If your school only decides on its nominee in early October, you must already have your program choice made and your OUAC or International Application nearly ready. Applications typically open in late September, so there is no reason to wait.
The regular U of T deadline of 15 January 2027 still lets you apply for admission, but U of T states that 16 October 2026 is the deadline “to apply for admission to U of T and be considered for the Pearson Scholarship”. A later admission application cannot be considered for Pearson.
When you will hear back
U of T has not yet published decision dates for this cycle. On its counsellor FAQ, the previous cycle’s dates were: recipients notified “starting at the end of January 2026”, and all nominees notified “by April 2026”. If the pattern holds, expect first offers from late January 2027 and final decisions by April 2027. Admission decisions are separate: U of T releases them in rounds from January to late May.
Your admission offer and your Pearson decision may arrive at different times. Do not decline a U of T admission offer while you are waiting on Pearson unless you have weighed the cost.
After the Pearson deadline
Selection →The 6 November deadline closes the scholarship file, but the admission file stays open. U of T’s document deadlines for 2027 entry are 15 January for Engineering and Music, and 1 February for most other areas. U of T encourages applicants who applied by its 7 November recommended date — which every Pearson nominee will have done — to submit the documents they have by 1 December for early consideration.
Times and time zones
Only the new-school participation deadline states a time: noon Eastern Time on 9 October 2026. For the other deadlines, U of T publishes dates only. Treat each as the end of the day in Toronto (Eastern Time) at the latest, and submit at least 48 hours early to leave room for portal problems.
A working countdown
- This week: confirm the nomination with your school; choose your top program.
- By 12 October: finish your OUAC or International Application and pay the fee.
- By 16 October: submit it. Keep the confirmation email.
- Late October: draft your Pearson responses yourself; ask a teacher to read for clarity only.
- By 3 November: submit the Pearson application and documents, three days early.
